PROF OVA, UGM RECTOR COMES BACK TO “TELADAN” FOR THE INSPIRATION CLASS
Friday, 12th of January 2024. The Inspiration Class with the Rector of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), the alumni of SMAN 1 Yogyakarta KATY'82, was attended by all students in class XI. She told him about his life journey, which eventually took her to Teladan High School. "When I was in high school, I explored activities that were interesting to me, such as Tonti, Sigma, Volleyball, Indonesian Teenage Girls competition, and also studying TOEFL." "I want to become something that makes myself more valuable," stated the obstetrics and gynecology specialist.
Prof. Ova further said that even though everyone has the same 24 hours a day, there are those who can make their time meaningful and there are those who do the opposite. Therefore, to be successful you need to be professional in what you are currently doing by being responsible for your individual, intellectual, social, physical, spiritual and mental health. Our attitude towards learning trains ourselves to see things comprehensively to prevent us from being over reactive in responding to things.
"It's fantastic that this Inspiration Class activity allows students to learn new experiences and gain inspiration." "We are grateful to the Katy Foundation for organizing this agenda," remarked SMAN 1 TELADAN Yogyakarta's principal in front of Katy Foundation management and Inspiration Class attendees.
The activity lasted two hours. The Katy Foundation, founded by alumni of the Yogyakarta "TELADAN" Family, established this.
The students were quite excited to speak with Mrs. Ova. There were nine participants who took advantage of this occasion to address their adolescent concerns.
"How do we do it for those of us who are just barely in the academic field because I'm not very good at academics and haven't even found my passion yet?" One of the students in the discussion session asked.
Academic scores are not the only path to success; there is an X Factor, and those who try will succeed. Currently, attempt to improve your existing skills and continue to explore until you find a passion that will make you more valuable. We shall be at ease working with passion and will be able to produce without being told. Prof. Ova reassured the students.
"It's like God created climbing abilities in monkeys and swimming abilities in fish." Monkeys will struggle to swim, and fish will struggle to climb. They will seem ridiculous if you force them."So learn about our field and our passion. "Whoever we are, we can become anything," said Dr. Agung, chairman of the Katy Foundation and moderator of the discussion.
Mr. Syafril, the administrator of the Katy Foundation, Mrs. Prof. Ika Puspitasari, and Mr. Koko, a graduate of Katy 90, a painter who presented Prof. Ova a keepsake, also attended the Inspiration Class. This event was also enlivened by the student band's performance, which made the atmosphere warmer with the appearance of Dr. Ova. (RBN)
