KILARA: P5 PROJECT EXHIBITION TRAINS STUDENTS FOR SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE

Thursday 16/05/2024. The rubbish issue is still highlighting. Closure of the Piyungan TPA, a number of garbage piles at some points referring to unfinished waste management. Starting with a minimum of environmentally friendly lifestyles, marking the use of disposable products, and some other less intelligent activities cause the waste rubbish issues. The whole X-grade student showcased the innovative solution to the garbage problem.

The principal, Yogyakarta Special Regency Environmental Service, Yogyakarta City Waste Bank, parents, and students of SMAN 1 Yogyakarta plant a mangosteen tree to start the work event. "It feels really good to have this project, even though at first we were confused about what solution to the waste problem, but because the waste problem is close to us, we came up with an idea to solve waste management," one of the participants stated.


 

The student who created the maggot games to instruct exhibition visitors remarked, "We understand that we can cultivate maggots and can even become entrepreneurs with the results of this waste management."

Parents of class X visited the exhibition, which had the theme KILARA (Environmental Integrity Conservation for Morals, Body, and Hope) and featured a variety of innovations from the students in the areas of waste management, green parks, energy conservation, habitat cultivation, carbon solutions, and reducing environmental pollution.
