Yogyakarta from July 8–24. In SMAN 1 Yogyakarta's Katamso Hall, the DIY Directorate General of Taxes (Kanwil DJP) hosted a Tax Talking event. Approximately seventy SMAN 1 Yogyakarta class XI students participated in the speaking tax exercise with the subject Beyond Limits, Rise for a Golden Indonesia. One of the Yogyakarta DJP Regional Office's inclusion partner schools is SMAN 1 Yogyakarta.
Raising tax awareness is one of the goals of this exercise, along with loving and protecting the nation.
The Yogyakarta DJP Regional Office Head, Erna Sulistyowati, stated that Speech Tax is an annual event that has been going on for eight years. "With the aim of educating the younger generation so that they know what tax is and its benefits, so that in the future they will become obedient taxpayers, and they will even feel proud to pay taxes," she said.
Through Speaking Tax, he hopes to raise a new generation of tax-compliant, knowledgeable people who will contribute to the nation's future growth. In addition, a new generation is emerging that is pleased to pay taxes rather than feeling compelled to do so since it acknowledges their contribution to society and nation.
"I express my gratitude for being entrusted with hosting tax speaking events and incorporating tax awareness," stated the Head of SMAN 1 Teladan Yogyakarta.
"Thank God, we came in second place in the APBD Surgery competition that we sent students to compete in," he added. "The APBD Review participants are student representatives from schools throughout Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke."
