Together with RCE UGM, Class X Student Practice Ecobrics Innovation, learn how to manage waste.
Friday, August 16, 24. Every student in X grade completes the ecobric trash management tasks. The Head of SMAN 1 Yogyakarta, Drs. Jumadi, M.Si, opens the agenda by expressing his openness and support for the current plan, which aims to raise students' awareness of environmental issues.
Every student at SMAN 1 Yogyakarta, which works with RCE UGM, is really excited to learn how to manage garbage.
In order to promote sustainable development in local and regional communities, RCE is a network of formal, non-formal, and informal organizations. A global learning space for sustainable development is the global RCE network.
The SDGs were previously presented to students in order to highlight the significance of sustainable development, which includes environmental protection. The Adiwiyata Program is then introduced to the pupils and discussed by Feni Setyaningrum, M.Sc.
With speaker Zuliyati Rohmah, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. Eng, and the RCE team, students tried creating ecobrick and ecobrick innovation papers during session 3, which was incredibly exciting.
Five people each are divided into multiple groups by the participants. Waste of any kind, including plastic bottles, sachets, bags, packaging, and more, can be recycled into ecobrick material.
For managing plastic garbage, the following supplies and tools are required: scissors, trash pick, semaphore stick or wood, bamboo, or long brush; ecobrics equipment includes plastic (sachet, plastic bag), scissors, 15–20 cm wooden staff, and writing instruments such as markers or crayons.
