Monday, 9 September 2024, SMA N 1 Yogyakarta held a Project Exhibition on Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles (P5) for class X students for the 2024/2025 academic year. The opening ceremony of this exhibition was led by Drs. Jumadi, M.Si., and Sri Lestari, M.Pd.Si., as Chair of the P5 Project. This activity is symbolically marked by the release of five doves, which are symbols of the five main values ??of P5—divinity, humanity, unity, democracy and justice. These free-flying birds illustrate SMA N 1 Yogyakarta's determination to fly students' innovation, achievements and character towards a glorious future.

The P5 exhibition this time has the theme "Local Wisdom" with the title "Sri Kaya," which means "Sinau Ngerteni Yogya Palace Wisdom." This project began with a student visit to the Yogyakarta Palace to explore the rich culture and traditions that exist. From this exploration, students succeeded in processing various data and experiences into creative works that reflect their deep understanding of local wisdom. Each group of students raised a different sub-theme, such as the architecture and philosophy of palace buildings, typical palace food, batik, and traditional ceremonies at the palace. These works were then exhibited at the GOR SMA N 1 Yogyakarta, in the form of video documentaries, architectural miniatures, batik designs, dance choreography and art installations.

This exhibition is not only a place to show students' creativity, but also a means to explore the noble values ??embedded in the culture of the Yogyakarta Palace. By learning and internalizing these values, students are expected to be able to implement them in everyday life. For example, values ??such as discipline, etiquette, togetherness, and a sense of responsibility which are reflected in the palace traditions, can serve as guidelines for SMA N 1 Yogyakarta students as the nation's next generation. The hope is that they can grow into individuals who not only excel, but also have strong character and care about the nation's cultural heritage. Lestari.
