“ADIWIYATA MANDIRI” 2024 IS SUCCESSFULLY ATTACHED BY SMAN 1 YOGYAKARTA, GENERATIONS THAT CARES FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

At the Dr. Auditorium, Ir. Soejarwo, Manggala Wanabakti Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) presented an award to SMAN 1 Yogyakarta as part of the 2024 Adiwiyata award ceremony. following their victory in the 2016 National Adiwiyata.

 

Environmentally conscious behaviors including garbage management and the zero waste movement which lead to everyone at school accustomed to carrying lunchboxes and Tumblr every day. Students actively participate in the practice of environmental management and watering the plants alternately.

 

Drs. JUMADI, M.Si Head of SMAN 1 Yogyakarta, stated, "We hope that this environmental awareness will become a habit that is routinely carried out by students and can be brought to their respective surroundings." In addition, Esthi Bela Ikhatulistiwa XI F3 students were invited to become resource persons for sharing environmental care initiatives as part of the Adiwiyata award series.
