COMING TO SMAN 1 YOGYAKARTA SPECIFICALLY, RIKKYO UNIVERSITY EXPLAINS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.

 

The 27th of July, 2023. Delegates from Rikkyo University Japan paid a direct visit to SMAN 1 Yogyakarta. According to Mrs. Ryu Bun, an associate professor at Rikkyo University, and Mr. Yusuke Uehara, head of international relations, there are many opportunities for Indonesian students to study in Japan.

The good news is that Rikkyo University now offers scholarships through the Nexus Program, which was introduced in 2022 to facilitate Indonesian students' enrollment. Nine majors are offered in the undergraduate Nexus Program. Students can enroll in special education classes starting in the second semester after finishing the rigorous first-semester Japanese language course. Students from specific high schools that enroll in a nexus program with Rikkyo University are the only ones eligible for this program. The minimum level of N3 or J in qualified Japanese language proficiency (JLPT) is required for registration. JPT minimum 430 or test minimum D. then possess an average high school score of 81 on the TOEFL iBT or a minimum of 6.0 on the IELTS.

In addition, three majors—international business law, global liberal arts program, and intercultural communication—can enroll in the PEACE program. English is used for instruction. There are two admissions procedures available for this program: Regular and Recommended. Students from SMAN 1 Yogyakarta are eligible to participate in these two program options, but recommendations can only be accepted for students from specific schools that have partnered with Rikkyo University on the PEACE initiative.
